Outfit

Today I've got an extremely colourful outfit to show you; in fact it's pretty hard to think of a colour which doesn't appear in these pictures. I love this skirt so much. I've tried to show it on my blog many times before but the photos never turned out very well for a variety of reasons. I'm happy to can finally display my rainbow polka dot skirt. It's my ultimate dream skirt. I was very excited when I found it in Dangerfield last year. It instantly brightens up the day. I definitely believe there should be more rainbow clothes around; whenever I see rainbow pieces I pretty much always buy them! I also wanted to show you my new coat which I received during the week courtesy of OASAP. I am so happy with it, it's absolutely perfect. I wasn't sure what to expect with this coat and I knew I was taking a risk when I ordered it. It's so often difficult to tell the quality of coats when purchasing them online and it frustrates me when stores attempt to pass off long shirt style pieces in light weight materials as coats. However, this wasn't the case with my OASAP coat at all. It is of excellent quality and is beautifully warm. I love the style. The cobalt blue with the yellow accents is so lovely and I especially adore how the back of the collar is yellow. I'm particularly pleased with the structure of this jacket. I usually don't wear blazer style jackets because they look bulky on me; that's why I always opt for cardigans instead. This one works because the length  streamlines the blazer style which makes it an amazing coat.  I'll definitely get so much use out of my new coat and it's quickly become one of my favourites pieces. Thanks OASAP! In other news I have finally fulfilled my desire to own a yellow bag by sneaking in a little purchase recently. There are some lovely yellow bags in Guess and it was even better when this one, which I've had my eye on for months, was half price. I love the detailing, the shape and the bold tone. It makes a fabulous and happy addition to so many outfits. This skirt is very versatile and I often style it with pink but I went with red this time because I wanted to wear this particular top from Alannah Hill. I adore the heart detailing; it's such a sweet and adorable detail. It's amazing how much this little addition adds to a whole look. It's such a fun little top to wear. I love how this look features all three primary colours.

I must say I'm absolutely shocked and devastated by the news of Australian television personality Charlotte Dawson who was found dead in her Sydney apartment this morning. It's hard to believe that the bold, confident and tough character we saw on Australia's top model was actually very vulnerable and suffered a long battle with depression. We never really know what goes on in anyone else's mind. This struck a chord with me because I know what it's like to feel hopeless and to fight personal demons every day; it's tough and requires enormous strength. I just wish, beyond what words could explain, that she could have found the power and strength to go on.  I know so many people admired her and it is such a tragedy the way the events unfolded. RIP Charlotte. Never forgotten. Let's all be kind and support each other.

Wishlist

Hi everyone! Just a quick post today to show you the lovely pieces that are currently on my wishlist. The panda shoes are so adorable; as much as we all love our cat shoes and mouse shoes, the panda version provides that extra unique element. For awhile I've wanted an apple shaped bag and I've seen a few around in recent times. I like this one from because it is more of a subtle and classy apple rather than just carrying a random apple shaped bag. I love the yellow bag! This is also a piece I have desperately wanted to add to my collection. It's such a happy and fun colour which makes a bold statement. As for the heels and the hair bows, lets just say I love them and there can never be too many. The cardigan is a beautiful mix of romantic colours and the scalloped pattern is a sweet finish. The skirt is so classy and gorgeous. It catches my eye in the shops a lot these days. It also comes in blue and in a dress version. It's my birthday next month...so who wants to buy it all for me?

Outfit

I wore this outfit to work today especially for Valentine's Day. I didn't celebrate Valentine's Day; my husband thinks it's overrated and comercialised and he does have a point, but I used the excuse to dress up regardless. That's often my favourite aspect of celebrations and special events. I purchased this dress earlier in the year and ever since I'd been looking forward to wearing it. I'd been saving it for today and it certainly is hard not to wear a new dress as soon as it's bought. It was worth it! My dress definitely had the intended effect and certainly made a statement at work. The lip print is so much fun and i've noticed it's become much more popular in recent times. I'd wanted a lip print piece for ages but I couldn't find anything in the shops around here. I was pretty excited when I came across this pretty and perfect dress from Review. In accordance with the Valentine's Day theme, I decided to accessorise with bright red; I've combined these exact heels, bag and hair flower with so many dresses recently. There may eventually be some variety on this blog!

Outfit

Hi everyone. Today I wanted to show you an outfit I often wear to work. Not only is green a colour I've come to love in recent times, I also think it's rather professional and suits a wide variety of occassions. I bought this dress from Review last year and the unique print stood out to me. As much as I adore my favourite designs of florals and polka dots, I'm always looking for different patterns. I love how this print incorporates various forms of stripes and shades of green; they all merge together for a beautiful combination. I haven't seen any dresses like this before which is the main reason why I like it so much. My 'Having Said That' cardigan is definitely my most worn cardigan for the last few months. It is very versatile, I adore the deep shade of green, the lace is so pretty and the cropped design makes it easy to style with my high waisted dresses and skirts. I'm sure you'll see it many more times here. Once again, my bargain shoes from Target are serving me well.

Valentine's Day Look

Hi everyone. Just a quick post tonight to show you my dream Valentine's Day outfit! Although my husband and I believe Valentine's Day is very overrated and we usually don't celebrate it, I still like to take the opportunity to dress up. In fact, despite the fact that this outfit is most definitely far out of my price range, I have an exciting outfit planned to wear to work on Valentine's Day. More on that later. I am so in love with this dress from Alice and Olivia. I first posted about it here when I displayed many of my favourite pieces from the Alice and Olivia 2014 Resort Collection. This dress is very magical and stunning. It's such a fun print and I adore the peter pan collar. The contrast between the red and cream is rather romantic. I can't speak highly enough of this dress. Needless to say I have been in love with the Charlotte Olympia kitty cat bags ever since I first saw them. It's my absolute dream bag.  I'd be so forever happy if I had this bag!! How adorable would it be paired with the kitty cat flats? Too cute for words. The flats have been a long term favourite too. The combination of leopard print and red is fabulous and the lip detailing is the perfect finish. My recent like for lip print was the main inspiration behind this look. In the next couple of weeks I'll show you my own outfit featuring lip print.
