Confessions of a Shopaholic

Tonight I watched Confessions of a Shopaholic on DVD. I loved it when I saw it in the cinema so I have been wanting to watch it again for quite a long time. It is defintely one of my favourite movies. Even though Rebecca is a much more extreme shopaholic than I am, I understand the feeling she gets when she goes shopping. It usually makes me feel good and I like having new things. Sometimes I think I buy too many clothes as well, but I certainly don't buy designer clothes or go into credit card debt like Rebecca does in the movie. Anyway, this movie is a lot of fun and I recommend it to those who have not yet seen it.

I love many of Rebecca's outfits and these are two of my favourites. I like the large belts and the contrasting colours. I think her hair is absolutely perfect too.

I haven't done much during the mid semester break. In fact I'm quite dissapointed because I thought it would be more exciting. I think the main reason is because Rydog is not on holidays until the week I return to university so we haven't been able to go out as much as I would have liked to. I have done some study, been out a few times and watched lots of DVDs. I should have done more study but I didn't really feel like it, at least I got something done. I will be fine if I work hard during the term time. Hopefully I will take some outfit pictures on the weekend. Also, I just got a new fringe cut so I would like to show that since I think it is an improvement to my hair.

Gift- Mirenesse

Yesterday Rydog surprised me by buying me some Mirenesse makeup. It came in this pretty fairy box and inside were some lovely lipglosses- four velvet lip plumpers and three mini lipglosses. Its my favourite brand but it is too expensive to buy all the time. I like all the colours and they will suit a variety of different occassions. I think they look too nice to use!


Its so lovely to be surprised like this, I've had a few other surprises this week. I thought I would show this one to you.

Outfit

Yesterday I went to a birthday party with Rydog's family. These sort of events are starting to become a regular occurence on Sundays, which I enjoy. I decided to wear my new dress, which Rydog's mum bought me last Thursday. It was very generous of her to buy it for me. I like the colours and vibrancy of this dress. Its definately one of my favourite clothing items at the moment and I felt so happy and bright while wearing it.











I'm on mid semester break from university for the next two weeks. I wish it was longer and that I didn't have to study, but I will still enjoy it. I need a rest and a chance to regain some motivation. It feels good knowing that I don't have university tomorrow morning.

Jewellery Box

I haven't had much to post this week, its been a fairly average week. So I decided to show you something completly random and that is my jewellery box. I haven't had it for long and I never got around to showing it, so I thought it would be appropriate.

For years my jewellery was all over the place and in many different boxes, so to achieve some sort of organisation, I decided to buy a large box to fit all my jewellery in. I bought it in red since it matches my room (and my laptop computer!). I like all the different compartments and it is very practical for my needs.


I also have this jewellery holder, which Rydog gave me this year. The dress is velvet and I like the colour.


This really is a random post, but I think thats ok. I'll probably show you some more of my items later.

Which Dress?

I have decided to purchase one of the dresses that I displayed on my recent wishlist. They have sold out in most stores but I should be able to purchase one from the Valleygirl website. I can't decide which colour to buy. I like them both but for different reasons so its a very hard choice.



I need your help, which colour do you like best?

I’m sorry for my absence over the last week. It has been because of my wrist, which is more seriously injured than I expected. Last weekend it was extremely painful and I was unable to use my right arm at all. I have been seeing the doctor and it will take between two and four more weeks to return to normal. This is extremely disappointing for me in many ways. It's difficult for me to complete all my work since I am unable to write or type with my right hand. I had to miss an exam on Monday. Its also hard for me to complete everyday tasks and I am unable to spend much leisure time on the Internet. So unfortunately I haven't been able to post many blog entries or reply to comments. I am very sorry about that. I miss you all. I won't be totally absent. I'll post whenever I can, hopefully sometime over the weekend.

Wishlist for Spring

These are some of the items I would like to have this Spring. I'm really looking forward to the warmer weather. I like Spring fashions and life just seems so much better in the sun.



I like floral patterns at the moment so I would like to buy floral dresses and tops. I'm also starting to like some boho style such as the bag and purple top. I've been looking for the perfect blazer all winter but I'm yet to find it, so I will continue the search. I also can't find a polka dot skirt so I am thinking of making one during mid semester break. That reminds me about the skirt tutorial I promised. I have been busy lately and I need to be shown some of the steps again because I can't remember the entire procedure. But it will be coming.

It has been a difficult week for me because of RSI. It isn't getting any better despite some changes to my working habits. I feel so unsure of what to do because if I stop typing I'll fall behind in my work but if I continue then it might get worse. I'm sorry if it takes me awhile to reply to comments. I certainly want to but it might take me longer than usual at the moment.
