As we all know a little black dress is considered the best staple to have in your wardrobe. Until recently I must admit that the all important LBD was missing from my life; I rarely wear black and I could never find a black dress that wasn't too plain. When I found this dress from Review, that all changed. I love the pretty white detailing; it provides the potential for a classy look and is extremely versatile. Black and white is always such a lovely combination. I believe this dress could be worn to a wide variety of occassions. This is one of my current favourite outfits and is definitely fast becoming a go to outfit when I have nothing else to wear. I love it how a black dress is such a blank canvas for accessorising. I finally had the chance to show you how I styled my dalmatian print shoes which I posted here (I bought these for such a bargain price!) I was very excited when I received this little bag for Christmas with almost an identical print. I really adore being this matching. 

I'm sure you've noticed that I've had the same hairstyle for a very long time now. I'm trying to decide what to do with my hair and the bun is a simple style I can do every day while thinking; I wouldn't want to make any spontaneous decisions that I regret. I don't think I want to cut my hair short again; it took so much effort to keep it straight all the time. But at the same time, my hair is really thin and I hate my natural hair texture so growing it doesn't really work that well. I can't have this same hairstyle forever as much as I do love it so I need to work something out.

Review Summer Collection

I know I'm very late posting this collection since we are now in the middle of summer and many of these pieces are on sale now in Review stores, but I love this collection so much that I still wanted to make it part of my blog. I have the dress in the second row on the right but in green; I wore it on Christmas day which I posted here. I much prefer it in green; it makes much more of a statement! I adore all the dresses, they are completely perfect. My favourite is probably the green floral dress; I almost bought it recently but sensibly decided not to spend the money. Also of particular importance is the look in the last row on the left; I love every aspect of it and the way it was put together. It inspires me to accessorise my outfits more, mix patterns and wear my long sleeved tops with skirts. It's very easy for me to fall into the habit of wearing dresses every single day and my skirts have been very under utilised recently. I love the mint green shoes with the silver caps in this photoshoot; they remind me of my yellow shoes which I posted here.But to be honest there are some shoes in this photoshoot that, in my opinion, don't really suit the dresses and could substantially be improved.

Outfit

I wore this dress to a wedding on Saturday; loyal readers of my blog may recognise it as the Review Audrina dress that I posted on a wishlist a few months ago. I never actually thought I'd buy it but, when it was substantially discounted, I couldn't resist. I was a little worried about another guest turning up in the same dress, since it does come in four different colours and was on sale, but fortunately I was safe. It was interesting to attend a wedding only five weeks after my own. Now I know what it's like to be on both sides; it felt so different yesterday getting ready so quickly and then driving to the venue only a short time before it started, in contrast to a whole weekend away and the huge amount of preparation that went into my own wedding. Yesterdays wedding was extremely different in style; the warm weather and scenic views of the harbour made it very lovely. Also since I haven't actually been to very many weddings, it was great to have the opportunity to choose an outfit to wear to this sort of event. I really love the unique shade of blue and of course the lace. I also managed to make good use of my wedding accessories. I wore my wedding shoes; unfortunately it is difficult to see the detailing in the photos, and one of the bridesmaid's belts. I thought the sparkly shoes would go well with the light blue.
