Outfit

It feels like a very long time since I last posted an outfit, where has all the time gone? The last few weeks have just flown by and I feel like I haven't even had time to catch up. Summer holidays have come to an end and university is starting back this week. I am so scared of going back and I will miss the freedom of summer holidays so much. It is the worst feeling ever knowing that I had three months to do whatever I wanted and to make changes to my life but it is now over. I just have to remember that I cannot control how fast time passes by! I'm trying not to see going back to class as a big deal because that will just stress me out. In reality, it may not be completely full on right from the first week and I won't have to give up other parts of my life that I love.

I wore this outfit yesterday for my mum's birthday when I saw 'The Artist' at the cinema. I wasn't expecting much from that movie as I certainly had my doubts as to whether a black and white silent movie was capable of captivating an audience, but it was actually a very enjoyable movie. I thought it was interesting how words were not even needed to tell a story.

I've been trying to incorporate lots of colour into my outfits lately either in the form of colour blocking which I posted here or pops of colour against a black dress which I posted here. This outfit is no exception and these are my favorite types of outfits right now.

Your style NEVER ceases to amaze me. I wish I had just an ounce of your cuteness! :D

This dress is adorable and I love that you accented it with red. The unexpected pop of blue was also the perfect touch!

I'm glad you liked the movie. I thought it was one of the best films I'd seen all year! I hope it wins the Oscar. I have the soundtrack in my car (my friend Jonny bought it for me) and I listen to it ALL the time! Such beautiful music. :)

Wow! I love this outfit! The dress is so pretty and your pops of color are fantastic. I have a top that looks just like the bodice of your dress and now I wish it were a dress rather than a top lol.

I'm stressed over school as well (except I'm already in the middle of my semester). I need to start and finish a big paper today and I haven't even started :/ You're going to do just fine!

Also, you have a such a great figure!!!

That's such a gorgeous dress. And I love how you added some colour with the bright heels.
I've heard great things about The Artist. I definitely need to watch it.

You are way too young to remember, but back in 1962 a low budget black and white film called "David and Lisa was quite a hit. I'm glad the film "The Artist that you saw with your mum was a good one and hope her birthday was a happy one.

The white polka dotted black dress does make your shoes, bag and the cute bow stand out.

I hope you manage to enjoy your university days as you're young and will be surrounded with other youthful people and hopefully interesting thoughts.

The scenery is pretty too. A stray thought: The heels on the grating of that bridge made me think of the start of the 7th scene in the DVD of the movie "Super Mario Brothers" - a sci-fi action comedy. Loved the song "Almost Unreal" by Roxette during the credits of that movie. (YouTube video with song by Roxette here)

Polka dots and red is a classic combination, so I love that you added blue shoes to this outfit. It was a huge surprise that paid off.
