Outfit

I always find it interesting the way an outfit comes together; whether there is a significant story behind the outfit or whether it was merely created from a small idea, it always proves how broad and diverse the world of fashion can be. In my case, I woke up one morning with the most random desire to wear yellow. I've written before here about how I used to hate yellow and it was my least worn colour. It probably still is the colour I wear the least but I want to change that because I absolutely love yellow these days. It is so bright and happy and fun; I adore wearing bright colours in winter to counteract all the black and grey that is so commonly seen during the colder months. I love the detailing of this cardigan so it really is perfect for me. Once I had the basis of my outfit I started thinking about what would look good with yellow; it is actually more versatile than I initially thought. I tried on polka dots, bows and stripes and they all went so well together. In the end I decided to pair it with my bow skirt which I bought from Modcloth last year since I haven't worn it in a very long time either. Isn't it great creating outfits out of pieces that haven't been worn in awhile? Of course my yellow shoes which my sister bought me for Christmas, and I posted here, were the obvious choice to add a pop of colour and properly coordinate this outfit. I'm very happy with the way this outfit turned out. It's interesting how blogging goes through stages; right now I feel so inspired and there are truly a myriad of posts I want to write at the moment, which is always good!
