Outfit
I wore this outfit to work today especially for Valentine's Day. I didn't celebrate Valentine's Day; my husband thinks it's overrated and comercialised and he does have a point, but I used the excuse to dress up regardless. That's often my favourite aspect of celebrations and special events. I purchased this dress earlier in the year and ever since I'd been looking forward to wearing it. I'd been saving it for today and it certainly is hard not to wear a new dress as soon as it's bought. It was worth it! My dress definitely had the intended effect and certainly made a statement at work. The lip print is so much fun and i've noticed it's become much more popular in recent times. I'd wanted a lip print piece for ages but I couldn't find anything in the shops around here. I was pretty excited when I came across this pretty and perfect dress from Review. In accordance with the Valentine's Day theme, I decided to accessorise with bright red; I've combined these exact heels, bag and hair flower with so many dresses recently. There may eventually be some variety on this blog!

I don't understand all the hating on Valentine's Day. It's an excuse to do something out of the ordinary and mix up everyday life. That's a good enough excuse to celebrate for me! Plus red and pink and hearts and so much fun to wear! And chocolate. Chocolate is a good excuse to celebrate Valentine's Day too.
