New In: Dita Cardigan

Today I added to my wardrobe quite possible the most beautiful gorgeous piece I've ever owned. I have a large quantity of clothes so that's really saying something; it's right up there with my all time favourites. As you probably know by now, I love these Dita Cardigans and have five of them , mainly the newer release colourways as I only discovered them last year. I am always on the lookout for some of the rarer and older versions on ebay and the facebook group. Since they are very expensive and often sell at above retail price, I'm trying to be sensible about it and only buy my top couple of colourways if they ever come on sale, that being the black version with white trim and the pale blue version with white embroidery and black trim. Very surprisingly this beauty was listed on ebay earlier in the week and I snapped it up immediately. I never thought I'd find one. In person it's everything I wanted and I'm so happy. I've had mixed success buying these online and in pre owned condition before. I'm taken a risk on a couple on ebay before and ended up reselling them (which isn't a problem as they are always resellable). However, this one is in excellent condition and feels almost as though I'd just bought it new directly from the website. It's a lovely tight fit including the sleeves, impressive quality. I cannot wait to wear it!

My B.A.I.T Footwear Collection

I've wanted to create this post for awhile and finally got around to it. Here is my collection of shoes from B.A.I.T Footwear. As you can see I have a habit of purchasing the same pair of shoes in multiple colours and now I've started I feel like I have to keep it up for my collection! One of these styles I even have in three versions as I couldn't resist them when the sparkly colours came out. I wish I could buy the gold, the red and the cream version but that would be rather excessive! My experience with B.A.I.T Footwear started when I saw the red and white pointed flats on Modcloth. I admired them for ages and eventually  bought them in one of the amazing Modcloth sales at only $35. Ever since then I have been in love with the brand. The shoes are so adorable, vintage inspired and the perfect match for my style of outfits. There are so many varieties of styles, although I don't like all of them, that they are very popular. The main benefit is the comfort and this certainly can be hard to find with a shoe. The most well known styles from B.A.I.T Footwear appear to be the Ida and the Ione. I never actually owned the Ida as there have always been others I like better. I used to have two pairs of the Ione but ended up selling both as they were half a size too small. It would be great to add them to my collection again. The only downside to the brand is the postage costs when purchasing direct from the website. In the absence of many stockists in Australia (and the ones that do exist have a very limited range and are more expensive per item), almost all of my purchases have been direct. Usually my desires for the shoes means I pay it anyway but it certainly isn't ideal. Overall I highly recommend B.A.I.T Footwear- you will not be disappointed.

New In: Kitten Castaway Bag

Hi all. Today I wanted to show you my new bag from the Kitten D'Amour Castaway Collection. I've had my eye on this bag for months, ever since it came into the preview section of the website. It's the first time I've seen a Kitten D'Amour brand bag. I've always loved nautical inspired pieces and this one is even more detailed and adorable. It's beautifully structured and even has red and white polka dot lining. I'm not as impressed with the latest Castaway collection from Kitten D'Amour as I thought I'd be. It's rather expensive for what it is. There's only one item of clothing that I like which is the dress but $250 is much too expensive for a day dress. Also, the brand name printed all over the dress (in the same way as the bag) ruined it for me- although it's ok on a bag. I'm pleased I just came away with the bag.

Item of the Week 039

So exciting- recently I scored my dream dress from Kitten D'Amour which I'd been attempting to track down for so many months. I found someone who was selling this piece in my size, via the Kitten D'Amour buy, swap and sell Facebook group that I joined. I couldn't believe it because it's always so rare to find exactly what you want and, on the rare chance it does appear, there's so much competition and the pieces sell so fast. This dress is such a stand out and definitely one of my absolute favourites that I have ever owned. I adore hot pink and polka dots so it is the perfect combination. The pink detailing is super stunning and I love the collar design. The dress is a beautiful silhouette as there is even netting underneath. Everything about this dress is perfect and I can't wait to wear it for the first time. I hope I'm not being hypocritical considering what I wrote in my last post but this time was different; I've been selling some clothes I don't wear anymore so I see this as more of a swap. I haven't been so happy about a particular piece of clothing in as long as I can remember.

New In: Emerald Glitter Pumps

Hi everyone. Just a quick post today; it's been an extremely busy week for me so I haven't been as present in the online world as usual. I have been very naughty and purchased some rather expensive shoes which are the Red Carpet 100 Pumps from Mimco in  Peacock Green Glitter. I would never pay this amount for a pair of shoes but I absolutely could not resist. I never see shoes which make this much of a statement in the shops; I am often frustrated by the conservative range of shoes that are available. These shoes are absolutely stunning and perfect. The most beautiful shoes I have ever seen. I adore glitter and there are definitely not enough glitter products around. I tried to make my own glitter heels a few years ago but they didn't look as good as a store bought pair and I was scared about all the glitter falling off! But I think eventually I'll try DIY glitter shoes again because I'd love to have glitter shoes in every colour and especially in pink. The stand out feature of these heels is also the gorgeous emerald shade. Wow. I'll be wearing these shoes for the first time tonight for a Christmas party which is a cruise around Sydney Harbour.

New In

I haven't done this style of post in awhile so I thought it was about time I showed you these two new exciting additions to my wardrobe. Love them both so much

My favourite piece in the world at the moment is my new Chanel inspired pink handbag which my sister in law brought back all the way from Cambodia. It was such a sweet and beautiful gesture. It is well established that the Chanel quilted handbag in pink is my absolute dream item; I'm continually admiring it on the Internet. So she bought me my very own version. I'm very impressed with both the design and the quality. As I mentioned here, in relation to my Lady Dior look alike handbag, I'm often feel frustrated by replicas of designer bags for a variety of reasons; there are some very poor imitations out there. However, this particular bag passes all the tests in my opinion. I am so impressed by it and currently don't even feel the need to have the genuine Chanel bag (although I'm not refusing if anyone wants to buy me one!). The features I'm impressed by are the logo, the quilting, quality, chain, inside design and the beautiful colour. I've been taking it to work all week where I've received a number of compliments. I was even asked today if it was a real Chanel bag! It's a very small bag so is rather impractical for work but I love it so much that I don't let it out of my site at the moment. I understand some people say there's only one Chanel but lets be honest, how many of us have thousands of dollars to spend on a bag? Certainly not me.

These Marc by Marc Jacobs golden flats are one of the naughtiest purchases I've ever made; I've never spend so much on a pair of shoes before and it's the first designer piece I've purchased myself. In saying that I found them at an extremely reasonable price in the recent David Jones shoe sale. Ever since my mother in law bought me the Marc by Marc Jacobs mouse flats, which I posted here, I've been completely obsessed with this brand of flats. Not only are the designs adorable, they are incredibly comfortable I don't have many comfortable shoes so, in this situation, the purchase seemed justified. In addition, it's important to recognise that golden shoes are incredibly special. They are extremely regal and beautiful, sure to make a statement. I also adore both gold and silver shoes because they are extremely versatile but definitely not boring; it's the perfect combination. I also love the sweet little bow coupled with the signature Marc by Marc Jacobs logo.

What are the latest additions to your wardrobe?

Item of the Week 036

Tonight I'm excited to show you the most incredibly amazing bag ever! I saw this on Modcloth a number of weeks ago and instantly fell in love. Unicorn pieces are so difficult to find; whenever I see unicorn printed clothes, accessories or homewares I snap them up immediately. The combination of unicorns and glitter is out of this world beautiful and fabulous. The unicorns are very pretty and have the most adorable eyes. This is my dream bag and I'm so pleased I found it. This treasure is by Irregular Choice via Modcloth (where else would I possibly find this?) A little on the pricey side, I was convinced by the unique nature. The combination of it being my birthday and the fact there was only one left on the Modcloth website, influenced my decision. It's now sold out on both the Modcloth and Irregular Choice website which makes me believe, even more, that I have such a creative unique piece. I will never see anyone with the same bag. I'm so happy I decided to buy it. It may be hard to tell from the photos but it is a very reasonably sized bag. My one issue is that the clutch style clasp on a larger style bag means it will not sit closed while I carry it with the shoulder strap. Whenever I carry the bag it unfortunately remains open. From a practical viewpoint this is extremely frustrating but who cares about practicality when I have a glitter unicorn bag, right? I'm looking forward to displaying this in outfit posts.

Item of the Week 036

photo(5)photo(2)Hi all. Today I wanted to feature the latest addition to my wardrobe which is my Madeline t shirt from Out of Print via Modcloth. I saw this piece on the Modcloth website a few weeks ago and it was instant love, not to mention the overwhelming number of memories that flooded back to me within moments. I adored Madeline during my childhood. I remember there were times where my life was entirely consumed by Madeline; my sister and I frequently watched it on tv and made up random games to do with the show. I remember being quite obsessed with drawing all twelve of the little girls in their uniforms. Lord Cuckoo Face and Miss Clavell...it's all too good! However, I do remember being frustrated by the fact that Madeline was always the centre of attention. Just because she might have been that little bit smaller than the other girls, I'm sure those other eleven girls were just as amazing in their own ways. Ok, that's just me and my negativity. Plus I was always a huge fan of Chloe...and Danielle and Nicole. Regardless, it is so fantastic to have a Madeline shirt which brings back so much nostaglia. I'm pretty sure I'll end up watching it again soon now I have the tshirt. I can't wait to style it. I've decided I can wear it with my pink jeans (yes me in jeans, it is rare). The little girls come too far down the shirt for any of my high waisted skirts to work which is unfortunate. Speaking of fashion I always loved the uniforms the girls wore on Madeline. One of these days I'm sure I'll create an outfit centered around that concept. Another fun aspects of this top is that I know two other people who have the same one. I posted about this Madeline tshirt on Facebook. Then an old friend from school said she'd bought it a couple of days earlier. Then I influenced yet another old friend to visit the Modcloth website and she bought it too. Matching tshirt buddies! It's also cool to discover new brands. I noticed that Out of Print has some pretty fun pieces on their website from The Hungry Caterpilla to The Great Gatsby. The long sleeve Madeline jumper looks so warm and cosy too. I heard they have the Madeline clothes for men too! I need to get my husband to agree with that!! Wouldn't matching outfit pictures just be the best?

Item of the Week: 035

Last night I purchased these amazing shoes from Guess! After work I went to Guess searching for a specific pair of heels which I couldn't find and came away with these instead. I love the sales at Guess, there is another 25% off already reduced items at the moment. I adore how much of a statement these shoes make; I love the pink heel, the vibrant colours and the oversized floral pattern. I've noticed in the shops that floral heels seem to be more popular in recent times. I wore them today to work with my pink dress and I was so happy with the look; my friends liked them too. I can tell already that I'll be getting a lot of use from these. I think it would be fun to try a pattern mixing combination with them too.

On Monday I'll be attending my very first day at The College of Law. I'm completing an online course but for the first (and last) week of the course I actually need to attend in person. So I've had to take Monday to Thursday off work which is very sad because I love my job and I'm going to miss my friends. I am already scared; there seem to be lots of practical aspects to this course and so many readings. I actually don't know how I'll fit them all in with a full time job. Oh well, I'll deal with it when it happens. I read in the course materials today that "the courtroom is not a fashion show." (WHAT!?) and"it is not advisable to try out any jokes in court." LOL.

Item of the Week 034

I've mentioned on a number of ocassions that, this year in particular, I've developed a major obsession with Guess bags. In my dream world, I'd own a Guess bag in every colour and pattern (with a classic Chanel bag thrown in for good measure), so I could pair them with all of my outfits. I've accumulated a few Guess bags this year and there are a couple in particular that I have my eye on in Myer at the moment- a bright yellow bag and a quilted red bag! The Guess bag pictured below is the latest in my collection. I saved up for a number of weeks to buy this one; I've wanted it all year and it finally came on sale. I personally love these shades of purple and green together. It's a really fresh and fun combination. I also like the texture, the shiny effect, the practical size and the zebra print lining. It's definitely my favourite Guess bag and consequently, my favourite bag that I own. I took some outfit pictures on the weekend featuring this bag so you can see how I styled it soon. It also perfectly matches my hope keyring which I like to attach to whatever bag I'm using for the day. I'm trying to hold on to hope while enjoying my stylish bag.

Marc by Marc Jacobs Mouse Flats

My exciting news for the week is that I'm now the proud owner of a pair of Marc by Marc Jacobs mouse flats! I've loved the iconic, sweet and popular shoe for an extremely long time but I never imagined I would ever own a pair. The detailing is adorable; the little whiskers coupled with the velvet nose are ears are simply perfection. I love the metallic silver because its both fun and versatile at the same time. I've worn them non stop since I received them earlier in the week; it sure brightens up the day wearing them to work. It feels like I'm with friends because of the cute little faces staring up at me. Now I want to name my shoes (Yes, I'm crazy!) They are the most comfortable shoes ever, it is incredible. This is the first time I've ever owned any clothes or shoes in the calibre of Marc Jacobs. It's so special and makes me feel very happy.  These beautiful mouse flats were a gift from my family and they come all the way from Melbourne. They are my early Christmas present (I'm that impatient). It's so wonderful to receive such a generous and meaningful gift; I truly treasure these shoes forever. It serves as a constant reminder of how much I value the people in my life.

Item of the Week 033

I'm very excited to show you my absolute new favourite shoes which are recently acquired from Florsheim. These are my absolute dream shoes; the kind of shoes I could only ever imagine and fantasise about. I couldn't believe it when I initially saw them in the shops and they eventually became mine. I've never seen shoes like this before and it combines all my favourite elements in a shoe; polka dots, red and white, bows, patent leather and a level of uniqueness. I like the fact that they are different from my other shoes; I've never actually had a pair of sling back shoes before. They actually seem pretty comfortable and relieve pressure from the area in which I usually get the most damage from shoes. There's something about this style of shoes, the slingback combined with the pointy toe and the lower heels, which seems very classy and sophisticated. It is also chic and timeless. I love how the pattern makes such a statement and I adore the vintage vibe. These shoes add so much to an outfit; I've had so many style ideas already, I just can't wait to wear them as much as possible. I feel happy when wearing these shoes and it brightens up the day.

I'm on my way to my last day of work right now. I'm leaving a significant part of my life behind today. I can't believe what an impact such a relatively short period of time had on every part of me. I even turned into a morning person! I made some of the best friends of my life. For once I feel like I made a positive impact on others and gained a great deal of respect. The whole experience was such a personal journey; I proved to myself that I'm capable of more than I ever imagined. I hope that when I leave this evening, I can start to move on. I feel sad so I'm going to try and enjoy my shoes and look forward to the fact that I'm going to the races tomorrow!

Item of the Week 032

UntitlllllllllllledRecently I was a very very naughty girl and bought a rather expensive item- the Alannah Hill 'Secret of Secrets Coat' which I wrote about here. Ever since I posted my winter coats wishlist, I've been even more fixated on this item; although I initially preferred the pink coat from this year's Alannah Hill collection, the overwhelming amount of comments I received on that post which favoured the 'Secret of Secrets' coat made me changed my mind. I wasn't intending to buy it (isn't that always the case?!) because I've acquire a few too many new coats in recent times; always justifying this by the fact that I'll need them for the early mornings in the city (not too sure how many times that constitutes a valid excuse). While browsing the Alannah Hill website; during the brief period in which there were 50% off coats and jackets, the Secret of Secrets Coat somehow made its way into my shopping cart and then days later it arrived at my apartment...oh dear! It's even more stunning in person; definitely one of the most gorgeous items I've ever owned. I'm sure it comes as no surprise, after all my recent posts, that I'm drawn to the colour. I adore the oversized collar, the stunning buttons and the gorgeous detailing. The shape is so unique and girly. It's also predominately wool, with some cashmere composition, so its warm, comfortable and soft to wear. What could be better than the kitty cat lining?

Item of the Week 031

It's been a long time since I've posted this feature, so long that 'Item of the Week' is becoming a rather redundant title; I'm sure I could more appropriately justify this cardigan as my favourite item of the month. My mother in law bought me this cardigan a few weeks ago and I've been in love with it ever since; it made me so happy and excited to receive surprise clothes in the mail. It was the best and added so much joy to the day! It suits my style perfectly; I've loved leopard print ever since I was a young child and it matches my leopard print coat hangers (little details like this amaze me too). It's very classic and I adore how much a faux fur detail can add to any outfit. Every winter I believe I have a new favourite style of look; last year I mostly wore coloured trench coats with my skirts and dresses and this year I've moved on to cardigans, specifically with fur collars. This is the first time I've blogged one but I have about five at the moment which I've accumulated over the years. I particularly like how this collar is paired with black because of the versatility; I can create both sophisticated and fun looks. This is definitely one of my most worn pieces this winter. I'll post some outfit pictures of how I styled this soon.

Item of the Week 030

I'm absolutely in love with my new Alannah Hill flats at the moment. Despite Alannah Hill being my favourite brand for a very long time this is the first time I've ever owned a pair of Alannah Hill shoes. I have just about everything else and my weakness is cardigans so whenever I have money it generally goes in that direction. It's always exciting to own a different item for the first time. I believe these are totally my style; I love the double bows, the statement bright pink and the versatility of the black. It combines many of my favourite aspects in fashion. I have way too many shoes but I simply cannot resist the perfect pair. I bought these at an incredible discount of 65% off the original retail price. I cannot speak highly enough of these shoes and I am so happy to own them now. They are beautiful, gorgeous, pretty and girly. I can't wait to wear them; I have so many outfits in mind for these shoes. They also come in red and white which was absolutely beautiful too but I already have a similar pair of double bow flats in red and white from Wittner so that's why I went for the black and pink version.

Item of the Week 029

I have so many new items I want to post on my blog at the moment since my birthday was less than two weeks ago. All in good time, I say! Today I am featuring my new bag from Forever New. I fell in love with this sweet adorable bag the moment I saw it; I knew I had to have it because it was totally my style. It is also very unique and gorgeous with a vintage element; not what I'd expect to see in a regular high street store. You may have noticed that I don't often display bags in  my outfit posts. That's because I usually don't take one; my husband's pockets generally act as my handbag. So instead of owning a high volume of bags, like I do clothes and shoes, I just have a few very good bags which I love. I believe this bag, in addition to my Alannah Hill handbag which I received for Christmas a few years ago and posted here, will be my most frequently used bags in the near future. One of the most special aspects of this bag is the beautiful boucle material. It's so similar to my boucle jacket that I received for my birthday a couple of years and posted here. It is so classy and timeless and reminds me of Chanel!  I also adore the little badges, especially the cute bicycle. This bag improves any outfit immediately. I love the gold detailing and the structure. Everything about it is perfect. I love it! I took some outfit pictures with my new bag the other day which I will post soon.

Item of the Week 028

I bought these purple glitter and suede Guess shoes with money from my birthday and not only are they my favourite flats at the moment, they are probably my favourite flats I have ever owned in my whole life. I am always attracted to glitter and purple so it combines two of the best aspects. It wasn't until I actually bought the shoes and wore them that I realised just how much of a statement the glitter makes; it really stands out and is a feature. I also love the vibrant purple and of course the Guess label. These are very special shoes for me so I hope I can get a lot of use out of them. It's been extremely exciting buying a couple of pairs of shoes for my birthday. I'd really missed it while I was on a spending ban.
