For the last few weeks I have been working on this sequin DIY cardigan. It was originally entirely purple so I changed the buttons and added pink, purple, silver and white sequins to the front to give it a new look. Ever since my mother in law and my sister introduced me to the idea of adding sequins to cardigans I have been experimenting and coming up with many ideas of how to customise cardigans by adding pearls, bows, buttons, sequins and flowers. This is the first one that I completed but I have a few more which are currently in progress. Also, I have drawn inspiration from the beautiful Alannah Hill cardigans that I often see at the shops. Working across the road from an Alannah Hill store, I am often tempted by the $100+ cardigans that I see while browsing during my lunch break. Lately I thought that as an alternative I could customise my own designs. I also realised just how much the price of an item increases simply because it has some sparkly!
Juliette likes my creation. She was playing with the sequins as I attempted to take pictures.
I tried my hardest I make this a good quality item and sew the sequins on tightly but even so, I will be a little scared to wash it for the first time.

Outfit
This weekend I finally decided to wear my Modcloth Atmospheric Ambience Skirt which I posted here. This is definitely one of my favourite skirts and I am looking forward to wearing it to many occassions. It is one of the most successful purchases I have ever made. It was so incredibly windy all weekend so it was hard to take pictures and I was surprised I was even able to take any at all.
In my next post I expect to show one of my DIY cardigans that I have been working on these holidays.

Outfit/ Beach Part I
On Saturday Rydog and I spent the afternoon at the beach. It is not often that we attend the beach especially in winter so it was a lovely and relaxing afternoon. It reminded me of being away on holidays yet still in Sydney at the same time. This is the first time I have ever taken outfit pictures on the beach so that was a different experience and difficult at times with the sunlight and wind. It was also the perfect opportunity to test out my new camera which I purchased the other day and I am very pleased with the vibrancy of the colours. The weather was much warmer than usual today and it is hard to believe that it was this sunny and beautiful in the middle of winter. I have so many pictures from the beach that I will divide it into two posts.
I am obsessed with my new Modcloth heels. I have worn them almost every day this week. If they weren't sold out I would probably stock pile them because I will be so sad when they eventually wear out.
Thank for your comments on my last post. I am feeling much better now.
