On Monday Rydog and I went on a day trip to the Southern Highlands which is located about an hour and a half from Sydney. This is a wonderful place to visit. I've been there many times before; the last time we stayed over night and I posted about it here. It is so scenic and beautiful, especially at this time of year, and there are always many photo opportunities. It was lovely and warm yesterday which is great because I usually find it extremely cold in the Southern Highlands. They also have the best macaroons on the main street and I get very excited about macaroons. It was a very enjoyable day.
Now onto the outfit. I am wearing my red Alannah Hill cardigan, which goes with everything, yet again; I did my first remix post on it here. In fact this outfit, in its entirety, is one of my go to outfits so I'm suprised I haven't posted it before. It usually seems to work out for me. I love to wear the red cardigan with this pink floral skirt because I absolutely love the combination of red and pink together. I used to think it was a fashion rule that should never be broken but lately I believe the combination can be quite tasteful in the right circumstances. My bow top is my absolute favourite top; I adore the versatility and the size of the bow. I love the cut of it and the detailing adds to any outfit. I also have this top in the stripe version which I posted here. I tried to match my accessories with the silver glitter flats, silver bow and silver and purple earrings. I've had this hairstyle for a week now and it has been amazing. It has saved me so much time, made me feel less self conscious about my hair and saved my hair from straightener damage. I guess I should take a break from this style which makes me very sad; I want to keep it as a special wedding hairstyle rather than an everyday style. It's just hard to know what else to do with my hair.
There was a wedding still set up from the weekend. How pretty!
This really hurt my wrists but at least I got the photo

Outfit
This week most of my outfits have involved a floral dress and red accessories with my hair in a bun; I love this as a spring/summer look. I've been doing a smaller bun for everday and the larger bun for more dressy/formal events. I like to have some variety and my hair is just too thin for a very large bun so it is often hard. This hairstyle is solving so many problems for me. I haven't straightened my hair for almost a week. I recently bought this dress from Dotti. I love the dresses in this store at the moment; overall it has become my favourite store this year despite having not given it much attention previously. It's good to have a blue dress because blue is definitely the least common colour in my wardrobe; it was certainly not intentional that it worked out that way. I love the large daisy print. For some reason I've wanted a daisy print dress for a long time and it's a nice change from the regular floral print that is usually seen on clothes.
I don't have much to say today. I'm busy as usual with the wedding preparations, finishing university, pre-wedding social events, deciding what to do next year and finding a place to live etc. It's very stressful. It is only five weeks until the wedding (since a lot of people have asked) which is completely unbelievable; I simply cannot comprehend where all the time has gone. It will be a new beginning but there's a lot about my current lifestyle that I'm going to miss so it really is a time of so many different emotions.

It really made my day when I successfully completed this hairstyle; it was so exciting. When I think about how short and thin my hair is, it really is incredible that I did it. I've been trying this hairstyle for weeks; I was previously only able to do this hairstyle with the smaller bun enhancer but I think it loses a lot of the effect when its too small (especially when it is placed higher up compared to the low ballerina bun). It is a real struggle to cover such a large bun enhancer with such a tiny amount of hair but I did it and I'm happy with the way it turned out. These bun enhancers that I have recently discovered are truly a life saver. It is very infrequently that I will rave about a hair product (I find that most, with the exception of dry shampoo, do not work) so I really mean it when I talk about how great these are. There are so many benefits; my hair looks so much longer and thicker than it actually is, I I don't have to worry about my hair in the wind, my hair doesn't need to be clean and it saves me from straightening my hair every single day. I can't believe I've only just discovered it! I highly recommend this hairstyle. If I can do it (I have extremely limited skills with hair; the only thing I can do is straightening) then anyone can do it.
I had a very busy weekend. On Saturday my sister and I went to check out Topshop that just opened up in Sydney. To be honest, I was very disappointed; in my opinion it was overpriced, average quality and not at all my style but I thought Topman was pretty amazing. I bought Rydog a leopard print shirt. I ended up buying a few dresses from Dotti in the city. This is one of them (it was a total bargain for $30). One of the reasons why I love this dress is because of all the beautiful colours. It reminds me of a dress which was previously sold on Modcloth (it was a velvet rainbow tye dye skater dress). For some reason I had the desire to wear it with red accessories; I thought it was a unique choice that really stood out) but there are so many other colour combinations I could pair it with. I adore the cut of this dress too. The cut, coupled with my hairstyle, made me feel like a figure skater or a ballerina.

Outfit/ Wedding Hair
Hi everyone!
I currently feel the need to rant about my hair:
My hair is ridiculously annoying at the moment and I hate it being this long. My hair is extremely thin and damaged and as soon as it gets to my shoulders it becomes impossible to style as a bob cut. I have resorted to putting my hair behind my ears with a headband or trying up upstyles such as buns and ponytails but I just don't feel as dressed up this way. I am concerned that my hair is letting me down and does not match the dressiness of my clothes and shoes. I am desperate to cut my hair but I am growing it for my wedding. This is not a course of action I was initially planning to take; I always thought I would just have short curly hair for my wedding. However, upon recent experimentation, I realised that my hair is just long enough for an up style. I prefer this for a wedding since it is more formal and makes my hair look long and thick. It is the last thing my friends and family will expect so I like that surprise element. Here is a preview of my wedding hair style. Whenever I think my current daily struggles with my hair are not worth it I look at this photo to remind me how amazing and beautiful my hair could look at the wedding.
Now onto the outfit. I purchased these amazing shoes in the Wittner sale the other day; admittedly I've gone a little crazy with spending on shoes lately but there have been some incredible deals. These shoes were $100 but they became $50 per pair when two were purchased in one transaction. I couldn't decide between the red pair and the black version so luckily I ended up with both for $100. I mean I was practically forced to own two pairs, right?! I love them so much; especially the strappy look and the patent material. In reality I'll probably wear them with dressier outfits than this one but I thought the pops of colour in this outit would be a good way to display the shoes for the first time. Eventually these shoes will probably recieve their own post too! I showed this dress once before here; it's been a staple in my wardrobe for some time now.

Item of the Week 025
Yesterday I bought the most amazing shoes ever. It was so exciting! The Wittner Jasper Heel is well established; I admired this shoe in both patent red and patent black last year but I never wanted to pay full price for them. I couldn't believe it when I was in Wittner recently and the 'Dalmation Print' version was on sale for $40. What a bargain! I've mentioned many times before that mary-janes are my favourite style of shoes. I also really love the thick heels; most of my shoes are stilleto heels but recently I have developed a love for this style. They make such a statement and really dress up any sort of outfit. I adore the print of these shoes; I've already thought of so many dresses and skirts that I can wear them with such as my pink Review dress which I posted here. I also love these shoes because they remind me of Miu Miu mary-janes especially the black version with the little white flowers (I'm not sure what they are called). I wore these shoes for the first time last night and it was amazing.

Wishlist
It's been awhile since I've enjoyed a shopping spree so, as a result, there are a myriad of exciting fashion related items that I am desperate to own. I thought it would be fun to create a wishlist; it will make me admire these pretty items even more. As expected it primarily consists of dresses.
Review Audrina Dress
This is such an elegant and classy dress and it is truly one of the prettiest dresses I have ever seen. I love the cut; the fitted bodice with the full and flared skirt is my undoubtedly my favourite style of dress primarily because of the vintage element. It goes without saying that I absolutely adore the lace and the bow at the waist. I believe the material and colour are very classy too. The shiny material and the light blue colour are unique in comparison to what is usually found in the shops and are extremely pretty. I would love to own an item in this beautiful shade of blue. I seriously need to find a reason to have this dress in my life. I have a wedding coming up in a few months so that is a possibility. This dress is complete perfection.
Review Whitney Dress
I am always attracted to the combination of mint and white polka dots. Whenever I see this pattern and colour I experience an overwhelming desire to make a purchase whether that be in a dress shop or a fabric shop. I've wanted a dress of this description for a long time and I believe I've finally found absolute perfection. I love the detailing of the sweet little buttons, the bow and the cute white belt. I am attracted to the slimline style which cinches in at the waist, is very feminine and is vintage inspired. The size of the polka dots is great too; it creates more of a statement look in comparison to smaller polka dots. As I said above I desperately need to think of a justifiable reason to purchase such an expensive dress; surely I have some event to go to in
the near future, right?
Marc Jacobs Dot
I am totally obsessed with Marc Jacobs perfumes. I LOVE Daisy and Lola and I would adore it if I could add Dot to my collection. Of course the pretentious packaging contributes to the charm.
Wittner Lover Flats
I've been waiting for a pair of shoes of this variety to come into the shops for years. Although somewhat challenging to style, I believe there should be more patterned shoes around and it's often frustrating how I can only find shoes in block colours. These shoes are seriously amazing and combinate two of my favourite elements which are flowers and pink! There is actually a real possibility that I might purchase these shoes. It's been a long time since I last bought shoes; I can't even remember when that was. I can envisage wearing them with my pink review dress which I posted here.
Alannah Hill You're An It Girl Cardigan
I must admit that for many years I hated yellow and as a result I can honestly say that my wardrobe does not contain even a single yellow item. Recently I have started to take a liking to yellow but in moderation. I don't think I'd wear a completely yellow dress yet but I'm getting there and I believe it will only be a matter of time until I fully embrace yellow. With that said, I am completely drawn to this cardigan. I believe it would lose a lot of its statement qualities if it were in any other colour. The sequins and sparkle are so incredible.
Forever New Tayla Animal Print Playsuit
I am most looking forward to wearing playsuits again this summer; I love the connotations that accompany playsuits such as the beach, summer parties and warm weather. Lately it's been hard to find decent playsuits in the shops but this one certainly fits the criteria for everything I want. I adore the pattern. It looks great in this shade of blue and with the little orange detailing. I have always liked animal print and the combination of the pattern and colour make it so beautifully unique.
Forever New Zinnia Bow Tee
I already own the 'Zinnia Bow Tee' in two different colours; in stripe which I posted here and in white. It is without a doubt my most worn top and it goes with almost everything. It was so reasonably priced and such a bargain. I would really love to have it in navy blue also; it would look great my red skirt. Since I usually wear this top with high waisted skirts, and the bottom of it is not visible, it makes the bow look even larger than it is. What is there not to like about an oversized bow?!
Review Elycia Dress
This is such a classic and vintage inspired dress and it is definitely one of the most beautiful and incredible dresses ever. I love the deliciate material, the style and the sweet little ruffles. I adore the red detailing; the belt, polka dots and buttons add so much to the dress. It is well established that I am completely obsessed with polka dots. I can never get enough of them so I believe this dress accurately represents my style. I seriously need this dress in my life! It is beyond amazing.
Well that's all for now. What's on your wishlist at the moment?

Outfit
These photos were taken a number of months ago but I never got around to posting them. I wasn't sure how I felt about them too; I totally don't know what's up with some of my poses. But at least it gives me the chance to show my purple Guess jeans which I've wanted to do for a while now. I admired these jeans in Guess earlier in the year. I loved the colour and the sparkly Guess logo on the back. I absolutely never thought that I would actually own them. I was so surprised and happy when my mother in law bought them for me. I can remember that night distinctly because I'd had a very stressful day and it was just what I needed and it made me feel so much better. It's my first ever pair of Guess jeans too! As for the cardigan I bought it on sale from Alannah Hill. I don't know why but I had a random desire to wear it with these jeans. It's not a colour combination I'd usually think of but now I like it. I love all the hearts that cover this top. Today my black heels, that I'm wearing in this post, broke. What a sad day for my wardrobe!
