Remix 006

It's been ages since I've done a remix post and this skirt is perfect for it given it's one of my most worn pieces ever. It's from the Forget Me Not Collection at Kitten D'Amour which was one of my favourites from that store. I love the matching top but there are so many other pairing possibilities too. It's one of my go to pieces when I don't know what to wear. I adore the embroidered lace and the colour is so pretty.

Remix 005

It's been forever since I created a remix post and there's no better piece to do it on than the shoes I wear most days- my Gloria Flats by B.A.I.T Footwear which I have in both red and black. There's never been a pair of shoes (or item of clothing) that I've worn more. I've actually re-purchased both colours as I wore them both out. I've never had to re-purchase a piece before. I have so many pairs of shoes but I'm always drawn to these. They are very practical as they go with everything and I keep reaching for them because they are incredibly comfortable. If I have a day which involves a lot of walking I'll always go for these shoes. I even go bike riding in them too.  I love how adorable and beautiful they look. I initially bought the red version from Modcloth about a year and a half ago and then this year I added the black pair to my wardrobe. Kitten D'Amour also sell these shoes now but they are extremely overpriced compared to B.A.I.T Footwear and Modcloth (even with the international postage charges). These are the best shoes ever!

Which piece in your wardrobe have you worn this frequently?

Remix 004

It’s time for another remix post and on this occasion it features my ‘A Lacy Affair Bag’ from Alannah Hill (a very deserving piece because I’ve had so much use from it). I received it as a Christmas present back in 2010 from my mother in law. I was especially surprised, happy and excited. This was back in the day when I rarely owned anything from Alannah Hill and I didn’t have expensive bags (long before my obsession with Guess bags began) so it meant the world to me. I believe my ‘A Lacy Affair Bag’ represents my style accurately because it’s so girly. I adore the beautiful lace, the lovely bow and the pretty shade of pink.

Remix 003

Since these have been  one of my favourite and most popular pair of shoes this year,I thought it was only fair to dedicate an entire post to them! I've worn these shoes six times on my blog and probably about a million times in total so it's about time they become the subject of a remix post. I even wore them to work today. My sister bought me these shoes last Christmas. Last year I admired, and often borrowed, a  pair of my sister's yellow heels so she bought me my very own pair. It was so thoughtful and exciting. They add so much to a look; they have such a summery feel and really make the colours to an outfit pop. I adore pairing them with yellow accessories such as my hair flower and clutch bag. I like to highlight the yellow in my dresses and cardigans. I'd wear these with almost any of my outfit. There isn't much more to say about my shoes other than I LOVE them and they are perfect.

Remix 002

Finally, seven months after posting Remix 001, I've accumulated enough outfit posts with the same item to continue on this series. I really need to become more creative with my wardrobe; I know I only use it to a fraction of its potential. I'm going to work on that. I thought it would be appropriate to post my black skirt from Revival. It has been a staple, especially in recent times since I got it hemmed, and the sort of item I can always rely on when I don't know what to wear. It is incredibly versatile that I could probably wear it with every single top in my wardrobe. In fact I'm wearing it right now as I type this with my rainbow stripe cardigan, red polka dot hair bow and daisy flats. This black skirt has had a lot of well deserved use; for years I'd had trouble finding a black skirt with the right shape so I've always been very happy to have this one.

Remix 001

I've seen this idea on a couple of blogs before and I thought I'd love to create my own series of remix posts where I show you all the different ways I've styled an item. I've wanted to start this for a long time but I was waiting until I built up at least four different outfit posts with the same item; I know I'm not very creative with my styling and I never use my wardrobe to its full potential, so these posts may not be too frequent for the time being. I thought it would be appropriate to start with my red Alannah Hill cardigan which I bought at the beginning of the year. It has been a winter staple and the sort of item I can always rely on when I dont know what to wear.It is so versatile and I could probably wear it with almost every skirt, pair of jeans and dress in my wardrobe. I love the little detailing with the ruffles and the sparkly buttons. I adore how bright and vibrant it is; it really makes an outfit stand out. I spent a lot of money on this cardigan; it is one of the more expensive Alannah Hill items I've ever bought so it's great that I've had so much use out of it.
