Recently I treated myself to a few new items from Dangerfield. As I have said before, Dangerfield is one of my absolute favourite brands because I think the designs are so unique and I adore the vintage aspect to many of the clothes. I have liked this label for awhile but I have loved it ever since my trip to Melbourne last November after discovering it is bigger down there than in Sydney. I just finished my mid semester essay for planning law this week so that was one of the reasons why I decided to have a fun shopping trip and purchase a few items. I'm pleased with myself for getting through the essay because it was the longest assessment I have ever written and I was concerned about it to start with. It is good to have it out of the way now.
I adore the vintage inspired print on this dress. It reminds me of the 1970s and of something that would be worn on the Brady Bunch (which is one of my favourite television shows). I think there are a few different ways to style this dress such as with red accessories or navy blue accessories.
I love the faux fur and peter pan collar on this jacket as well as the shorter length. I also like this shade of green at the moment and I have acquired a few items in this colour. However, I need some suggestions on what to wear it with. Obviously black would work but please tell me if you can think of anything else.
I have wanted a leopard print clothing item for a long time now and I have finally caught on to the animal print trend. It took awhile to find a tasteful leopard print item that I liked but I think this is just right for my purposes. I have actually loved this print for many years, long before the recent style came out. It has a bow at the front, I don't know how well you can see that. Also, apart from black what would be appropriate to wear with this top?
Have an enjoyable weekend.

Accessories + Jewellery
Recently I have bought/received a few new accessories and jewellery items.
Last week I attended the Sydney Royal Easter Show. I love the Easter Show, I always try to attend every year and I have been for the last five consecutive years with Rydog so it is becoming such a tradition for us now that I would hate to break it. I had a very fun time there and I was especially impressed by some of the jeweller sellers. I enjoyed all the aspects of the show. This year I came back with the Tammin and Diva showbags. I know the target audience of these show bags would probably be girls in their early to mid teenage years but I am still a child at heart and I loved them so that didn't stop me from getting them.
These jewellery items are from the Tammin collection where we were able to choose one ring, necklace, bracelet and pair of earings for the price of $20. My favourite items is definitely the bird cage necklace followed by the tiger earings. I have wanted a bird cage necklace for ages and I have always resisted the desire to buy one so I was very happy about having this one.
We also discovered these beautiful hand painted porcelain animal necklaces at Meow Girl. Their website can be found here if you are interested in browsing the product range. They were very sweet and unique pieces with perfect detailing. I loved so many of them especially the owl, kitten, unicorn and rocking horse but eventually I chose the owl and little white kitten.
I had to choosethe little white kitten necklace because it looks exactly like Juliette and now I will have an extra reminder of her whenever I am out of the house and wearing my new necklace.
These few items came in the Diva show bag from the Easter Show and I especially love the floral sunglasses. I have wanted a pair of fun sunglasses for awhile now so I will definitely get some use out of them. It is a shame that winter is coming since they would be much more suited to spring or summer but I'm still very pleased to have them.
I also bought some hair accessories and headbands at the shops yesterday. I can never have enough hairbows!
Happy Easter xoxox

Outfit
Happy Easter! I hope you are all having an enjoyable extra long weekend. The five day weekend that we have here is generally a fabulous opportunity for a break but unfortunately it doesn't change the due dates of essays for univesity students. I still have an online submission due on Sunday night and an essay due next Friday which I will probably spend most of the public holiday on Tuesday writing. Regardless, I will still fit in free time, socialising and hopefully some shopping. Today was a relaxing day and I had a short trip to the park to take some outfit pictures. This has been one of my favourite dresses ever since I bought it in late 2009. It is the Keiko Lynn dress from Modcloth. It is extremely hard to believe that I have never posted it before. I have had a few unsuccessful attempts at taking pictures of it before, none of them turned out right. I wish the lighting had been better in this set of photos. There are so many different shoes I can wear with this dress. I will probably style it in a different way for my blog eventually.
I recently received the Versatile Blogger Award from Green Tea and Cupcakes. Thank you so much. The rules of the award are to: thank the person who gave you the award and link back to them in your post and list seven facts about yourself.
1. I just joined Chictopia so please visit my page.
2. I still love Disney Princesses and my favourite has always been Ariel. I have her as the theme for my internet browser. I was almost going to be called Ariel (I really wish this had happened) so maybe it was meant to be!
3. My favourite decade of vintage clothing is definitely the 1950s and recently I am also starting to take an interest in 1970s fashion.
4. I love the warm weather mainly because I am much better at dressing for summer. I never know what to wear during the winter because I am not as good at styling coats, warm tops and tights. I'm hoping to improve this year for winter which is why I want to incorporate more colour into my wardrobe this season rather than wear the usual black and grey.
5. I wish I could work in fashion. It is my life and one of my only interests. This is what I think as I am writing boring law essays that I have no interest in.
6. My favourite song at the moment is Innocent by Taylor Swift
7. My favourite television show is Eastenders and I have been watching every episode for six years.
I am going to cheat and pass this on to all of my followers instead of select a few recipients.

Outfit
I wore this outfit to work on Thursday and it is definitely my favourite outfit at the moment. It was a chance to wear my pleated skirt that I made in sewing class for the first time and my new red trench coat. From the week that I started making this skirt I knew it would be one of my favourite items of clothing and I had been planning out what to wear with it in my mind for the couple of weeks until it was finished. I bought a red trench coat the other day to achieve this desired look. With the colder weather fast approaching I am trying to incorporate more colour into my wardrobe to counter balance stereotypical blacks and greys that are usually worn in winter. I love the vibrant blue and bright red together here.
I recently joined Chictopia so pleased visit my page here. I am very new so it would be fabulous to have some support.

I MET GOK!!!
OMG I just met Gok! It was so amazing and I am still on a high and in a state of excitement. I went to his Australian Westfield Style Tour today but I never expected that I would be able to actually meet him, get his autograph and have a personal picture taken with him. I love Gok so much and I always watch his television shows. I adore his styling and his personality. When I met him he certainly upheld the high opinion I have always had about him. He was so sweet and friendly, very geneous with his time signing autographs and taking pictures with the audience, a genuinely wonderful person and very importanly, exactly the same as he comes across on his shows. I love him even more now. I still can't believe I had this opportunity. Sometimes I feel out of it living in Australia especially because it often seems as though not many people share my interest in fashion. I can't believe that an average girl like me was able to meet Gok just in a shopping centre. This whole experience has made me so happy.
So...has anyone else met Gok?

Purple, Red, Floral
Yesterday was a cold, windy and rainy day so it is very lucky that I had the chance to take outfit pictures. I currently have some issues with my camera so I have been relying on Iphone pictures for many weeks now. I am wearing the skirt that I recently made and that I posted here. I have worn this skirt so many times since it has been finished and there are an incredible amount of tops and shoes that I can wear with it. It is probably the most versatile piece in my wardrobe so expect to see it styled a few more times on my blog. I love red and purple together at the moment. I just joined the Color Brigade at Cute and Little and submitted this outfit.
I recently received the Kreativ Blogger Award from my lovely friend Natasha at Tasha's Treasure Trove. Natasha's blog is fabulous so I definitely suggest you take a look if you have not done so already. Thank you for passing this award on to me.
The rules are:
1. Link ten blogs
2. Tell these bloggers about the award
3. Write ten facts about yourself
1. My favourite singer at the moment is Taylor Swift. I love all of her songs, I am amazed by her voice, her song writing abilities, her sense of style, her presence and the way she relates to audiences. I agree with many of the lyrics in her songs, she just expresses her feelings in the way I wish I could. I saw Taylor Swift in concert in February 2010 and it was fantastic. If I could be anyone in the world then it would be her.
2. As I am sure you know, I am a law student at university. I am the biggest procrastinator around because I have absolutely no interest in what I am studying.
3. I am getting married in December 2012 and will be booking the wedding venue in the next couple of weeks (since a few people have been asking me). It is exciting and the combination of booking and trying on wedding dresses makes it all more real. It actually makes me wish I was getting married this year instead of next year.
4. I am absolutely obssessed with the Saturday parody of Rebecca Black's Friday at the moment which can be found here. I memorised all of the words to it last week and I listen to it on repeat most days at the moment. I seriously need to get over this video.
5. I love my kitten Juliette more than words can explain. She has made me more happy in the four months that I have owned her. I think I have a special bond with cats.
6. I am very young at heart and I think that there is a part of me that will never grow up.
7. I really need to implement a spending ban with clothes and shoes again. I have spent way too much money lately but I will get back on track.
8. If I could have one magical power then it would be the ability to be in two locations at once so I could make both of my families happy. This is the source of a lot of my unhappiness and stress because, given the circumstances, it is just not possible to please all of the important people in my life. I know I am supposed to live my own life, and I do, but it is more complicated than that and beyond what I can explain here.
9. I used to dye my hair black for about four years (my last few years of high school and my first few years out of school. I loved the unique look of black hair, pale skin and blue eyes but overall it was probably too dark for my skin tone. It took years of hair dying to realise that I actually like my natural hair colour.
10. I wish I were more out there and willing to try new things instead of living in my very small comfortable zone all the time.
